FLOOR STANDING SAFES

If you have the space, this is the simplest form of installation. Many of the most secure safes are floor standing models and there is a huge variety to choose from including:

KEYED SAFES
COMBINATION SAFES

Safes with secure deposit options such as drawer deposit, rotary deposit, letter slot deposit or capsule deposit models.

Siting of your safe is of vital importance too. Insurance companies usually insist that safes weighing less than a tonne are bolted to the floor, so you need to check with your architect or builder that the floors are going to hold that kind of weight, and that the access via stairs or elevators is going to be suitable.

CONCEALED SAFES

Wall Safes
Wall safes are very popular as they don’t use up any floor space. Generally not as highly rated as their floor standing counterparts, they tend to be smaller and not so deep, having usually to fit within the thickness of a cavity wall.

Check the value ratings carefully before making a purchase and it is always worth checking with your insurance company to make sure you have adequate security.

There are always a good number of wall safes available to view at our showroom in Southend-on-Sea, and it always pays to come in and talk over your needs with an expert before buying. As with all safes, the installation must be approved to insurance standards in order for your insurers to offer discounts or accept future claims against safe contents.

Underfloor Safes
An underfloor safe is only as secure as the floor it is under. This may sound like stating the obvious, but we feel it is worth mentioning here. Some floor types are just not suitable for underfloor safes and some others represent a compromise that may offer protection but not keep the insurance company happy.
